This Location is a residential rd. There are purported to be several hauntings and many stories on this location. We visited this location several times. It has an eerie feeling to this rd and we had several personal experiences. We did not catch any evidence at this location but it is a very interesting place. We took pictures of an abandoned house from the rd that sits almost under the Calumet st bridge. Definitely a creepy looking house. We also took pictures around the rd, most of which are posted below. This is a residential rd and the inhabitants will call the police so be careful in this area and be sure not to trespass on anyone's property, Stick to the Road.
There are many stories on this location, everything from phantom cars, joggers being followed by unseen beings, to full body apparitions. I have not been able to substantiate any of the facts behind the reported hauntings. Mooney Mansion sits on this road as well and is purported to be haunted. We could not definitely identify the house to investigate. It was dark and street numbers not visible.
The Location of this house is 259 Walhalla Road it was built in 1913 and it is confirmed that the Mooney Family did live here from at least 1944 thru 1961. No murders have been reported at this location in public records. This house is private property do not trespass as stated the stories behind it are not sustainable at current , respect the current owners and view the house from the road. This road is really unique for being so close to downtown Columbus. We will return to try and catch some evidence of some of these stories, but I think this is just folklore. We will see...
